Hello blog land! I have missed my blogging friends and I have a plan to get back here soon. I have had personal issues going on the last month, so horrible that I have had no desire to sew or quilt! I know right. And now I'm moving but regular updates will begin in September, see you all soon. I will be catching up on blogs this week in case I haven't stopped by yet.

Stars of Spring
This quilt has been done for two weeks waiting to good some good pictures. This was the third time I tried, I didn't want to post pictures that didn't capture the brightness of this quilt.
This quilt was to be much bigger by adding sashing, but I was to eager for a finish. This is also the blocks that all the fabric had to be cut twice because the book had the wrong measurements so it was a little hard to piece.
Quilt Notes: Measures 29" X 36"
Also I used 3 fat quarters for the star blocks (one for each color) a good way to use up that stash.

The Great Outdoors
I finished something! You might remember all the craziness that when on a few weeks ago. Well, things took a turn for the worst 2 weeks ago when we have sewer problems and my daughter got a staph infection. But there is nothing but sunny skies and crafting now.
So this quilt was suppose to get done by Father's Day but I just finished it last week. My husband was gone for a week and I surprised him with it when he came home.

Quilt Notes* The quilt is made up of 15 large square in square blocks with sashing. The fabric is Robert Kuffman.
I won this fabric from Cherry House Quilts last November but I just couldn't cut into it until I knew that I wouldn't mess it up. That's only half of the fabric that I won, there will be another quilt soon using the other half.

Quilting Bee-LP2
I joined a quilting bee! Yay. June was our first month.
Here's the square I made. I was really unsure that the white wouldn't go the the rest of the fabric that was sent to me, but it did. I think working with fabric that others have picked out is really going to expand the way I match fabric. It's a growing process.
For those who signed up for my quilting bee, I'm still waiting on more member, I'll sent progess e-mails out when I get a few more people.

Summer-Not what I expected!
I thought summer was going to be the time to quilt away, I pictured lazy days sipping lemonade, kids in the sprinkler, and quilting, but it's not turning out that way. So why haven't my dreams come true, uncooperative kids, summer colds, a small house fire, and the air conditioning breaking with temperatures off 98 and up. Hopefully, with my summer starting so terrible, it will settle down soon and end on a happy note.
